Shock Horror Aunty

I fucking love this show. So simple, so fascinating, simultaneously disturbing and hilarious. And quite comforting to see how silly and prejudiced people used to be and to think that bigots kicking around today will be laughed at in programs like this of the future.

Have a squiz.

Russell Brand, Revolutionary

No doubt you’ve seen a bunch of stuff kicking around on the ol’ Russell Brand and his revolutionary ponderings.

I for one have a lot of time for his language and his jokes and his new ideas, even if it’s hard to get on board with everything he suggests.

I think I’m just a sucker for idealistic pontification. And why not?

If you’ve only seen Brand‘s interview with Jeremy Paxman, I think his piece for the New Statesman is worth a read, as is Robert Webb‘s response to it.

Hamish & Andy on Radio-Making

Though it pains me severely, I do love Hamish & Andy, what with it pretty much being  impossible to not do so.

Here‘s a great chat with them about their career, overcoming nerves etc. A good listen for anyone interested in getting into radio.

Kids React To Gay Proposals

You may well have since this kicking around already, but hot dang it is heartwarmingly lovely

Cody Quest

The endlessly talented Max Lavergne and Craig Schuftan have made a 6-part radio serial for triple j about the search for the on true 90s Kid.

In Episode 5 I got to play the role of R.L. Stine, author of the Goosebumps books, which always began with either someone moving house or going off to camp.
