My 2014 stand up show is called UnAustralian(ish). I think it’s going to be good fun and I’d love you to come along and see it if you can.

Here’s the blurb thingo:

The First Australians lived here for generations.

In 1995, Tom and his family travelled around the country on holiday.

Last year Tony Abbott became Prime Minister.

“One of Australia’s most talented up-and-coming stand-ups” ★★★★ Adelaide Advertiser

“A naturally funny man” Chortle

★★★★★ TimeOut Sydney

Mardi Gras-cias

Well hot dang! How about that Mardi Gras, huh?

I had an absolute blast cohosting SBS2‘s coverage of the parade and feel very lucky to have been up there alongside the delightful Pat Abboud and Heather Peace.

The whole broadcast is going tp be up on demand for a month on the SBS website here.

Congrats to everyone who marched and all the amazing volunteers who make it happen every year. See you in 2015 ya gaybos!

Mardi Gras Musings

mardigrasheadpiece

Mardi Gras is almost upon us! I wrote a piece for the Guardian about what it means to me, which you’re most welcome to read here.

If you prefer cheap sex/drug jokes, then I’d recommend this guide to MG I put together for pedestrian.

Nervous Parkour

I co-wrote, co-produced, co-financed and directed this new production from Luke McGregor Studios.

It’s entitled Nervous Parkour.

Please go see Luke’s new show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival (after you’ve seen mine, of course).

You Generous Sons Of Bitches

So at the end of my new stand up show (which is totally hilarious and totally on sale now and you should totally come), I’m collecting donations for the brilliant charity Welcome To Australia.

There’s absolutely no obligation to contribute whatsoever, but I’ve just been blown away by the fact that after just 5 shows, we’ve managed to raise over $500.

That’s an incredible effort and I’d really like to thank you sweet Adelaidians for your generosity.

If you’re coming along later in the tour and you can spare, please do bring along some shrapnel and chuck it into a bucket and feel like a legend.

Fancy Boy

Well this made me laugh a lot.
