Last week the following story hit the world media:

“A dog in Tennessee is scheduled to die today, after his owner abandoned him after deciding that the canine was gay. The dog’s original master noticed him ‘hunched over’ another male dog, which made him think that the dog was homosexual. The pitbull is currently at a shelter in Jackson awaiting his fate, but he is set to be put down at 1 p.m. unless a new owner can be found.”

Thankfully the dog was adopted by local hero Stephanie Fryns and named “Elton”.

Can’t recommend this enough. It’s a long but EXTREMELY WORTHWHILE read from The New Yorker about filmmaker Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby, Crash) deciding to leave the Church after decades of membership. There’s just some crazy, crazy shit in here (Tom Cruise, the Sea Org, Xenu, Hollywood’s elites, etc), and the writer Lawrence Wright clearly knows his stuff back to front. It honestly blew my mind upwards of three times.
